Mint Julep Time at Steeplechase!

Spring is here and you know what that means…time for the Queen’s Cup Steeplechase!  This event gathers thousands of people the last Saturday of April in Mineral Springs, North Carolina.  It’s not all about watching the several races throughout the day though, it is about having a fun time socializing, listening to live music, eating, drinking, and soaking up the sunshine!  If you’ve never been to this steeplechase, you are really missing out on the social party of the year!

You can purchase general admission tickets at your local Harris Teeter.  You can feel good about it to because event proceeds go to charity.  Definitely be sure to check out Queen’s Cup Steeplechase website, especially if you’ve never been, for helpful hints and dress code requirements.  There is also a helpful map to familiarize yourself with the grounds, although there will be many volunteers to help point you in the right direction.  Kids under 12 are free admission, and they typically have pony rides available for their entertainment.
